CHIPS - HURRAH

I LOVE CHIPS*
Luckily for me Slinmming world have their own very acceptable version that you can eat in any amount you want.

I have had a boring weekend , So tonight its chip bonanza night, you cut them up, boil the buggers , spray them with light oil and bung them in the oven.

Talk amongst yourselfs as I will be laying on the chaise longue being fed chips by my scantilly clad , nubile hand maidens (Jungle Jane and Mutley) and get this LOOSING WEIGHT WHILE I DO IT.
HA HA HA
:-)

What are you favourite foods and in what surroundings would you like to eat them ???

*These are propper English chips, not american fries or what you guys call chips , which are crisps - you' all are just confused

Mr Mutley opening up a glorious Fray Bentos Pie and a packet of Cadburies smash is stretching the limits of the verb 'to make'.I hope it was pint of Old Lesbian No 6

I fear that Ms FN is a provocation... I shall repel her as best I can whilst singing a rude version of Rule Britannia .... I am worried as I have seen her tomahawk and she threatened to have me flayed.. or something like that..

Mr Andy likes something he can sink his teeth into...something that fills you up and leaves you satisfied afterwards.

Just like you Mr B!

i want to know how you can first boil a potato then do anything at all with it save maybe mash the sucker. is it just a quick few minutes, like a blanch? i need the recipe. it sounds like something we'd like around here.i refuse to buy frozen in a bag ones.
the Goonybird is your chips twin; he LOVES the fries. he's even made up a song about them.
"Fries, fries, i eat dem
dey are good
on a plate
you have to sit down"

muttley: that is not a tommahawk; it's something i found at a layby. it smells like oregano, too...

I detect a strong undercurrent of double entendre Mr Mutley , that sweet innocent young lads like us may never understand

I hate to be pedantic Miss Jenny! , but you can beat a burrito, I tried it very successfully with a frying pan and shall now have to spend most of the evening wiping it off the walls and ceiling , but I feel it was worth it to clear up this point .

FN , boil your chips for 5 minutes , drain , arrange on baking sheet , spray with light oil , then into a nice hot oven for about 15 to 20 minutes till brown and crispy.
Alternatively after boiling , mix in an oven dish with sliced up bell peppers , make two wells in the piled up chips and peppers , and break an egg in each , then stuff in oven for 15 to twenty minutes.......lush.

I will be trying the goonybirds song later , to see if it enhances the chip experience.

Re the tomahawk thing, I guess your lucky it only smells of oregano :-)

Can't beat it!

Mr Beast
seriously, have you tried the royal canadian airforce excercise regime?
Easy to do at home and it burns the calories off.
Its basic PT and works , I know some people who are carrying a spot of weight feel embarassed going to a gym or for a run, it will do far more for you than all this dieting crap.
Hitch.

PS
Hands up I need to dust off my copy, but i do remember many years ago being able to eat and drink as much as I liked and not put an ounce on, aerobic excercise kid, thats the solution.
Squash is even better, less boring.

Mr Hitch , oddly enough I excersise quiete a lot , and have a personal trainer to beat the living shite out of me twice a week , so I am fairly well muscled .something rather odd happened last summer when it got very hot , I felt somewhat strange for a good few months and suddenly put on loads of weight (going from 13 stone to 15 stone).Fat on top of muscle looks worse than just fat......I look like an overstuffed sausage :-).

There was a story in Metro today about where to find the best chips. I tried to read it over the guy's shoulder but he would not let me find out details for you, the mean man. I thought about ripping his paper to shreds, stuffing it into my mouth and scampering around the train pretending to be a hamster, but that may have ruined the story.

MM , I have found that licking someone elses newspaper/mag while they are trying to read it , usually has the desired effect.they ditch it in complete form very fast , unless of course they are a complete perv , in which case blow them a kiss and run like hell (breaking wind while you do so if you can manage it - that usually cools their ardour )

I quite like those boxes of microwave chips. I have acquired taste for them. They do in 2.75 mins, which mean they can be cooked and eaten by the time your main meal is ready in the oven/via delivery boy. Sprinkle some salt, balsamic vinegar and some cheese. Mmmm.

Microwave cheese and tomato pizzas used to be nice, but something has changed and they now taste foul.

I am going to fly to my destination on the 18th and I will be dining on what's called a Mexican Revolution. It's a big fat burrito, rice, corn chips and cheese and other delectables. But a perfect day would be a picnic with potato salad, on the banks of Emerald Isle

Didn't sound very romantic, huh?

Filet Mignon,Baked Potato, Asparagus, overlooking Long Island Sound. I did that about 3 weeks ago. That was quite nice but it pales to Frobisher's killer sausage, huh?
